According to MARD, 7 months, total export volume of cassava and cassava products is estimated at 2.89 million tonnes with a value of 886 million, up 35.4% in volume and nearly 31% on prices over the same period of 2014. In the first half year, China remains the main import market, accounting for over 89% market share, up 53.47% in volume and 46.15% in value compared to the same period of 2014. The share of other major markets are less than 2%. The market has the highest growth rate was more than 10 times Japan and Taiwan (China) 64%.

Cassava Vietnam Association said the current price of cassava exports average about 420-430 USD / ton and relatively stable demand. Expected this year, exports of cassava will reach about $ 1.5 billion, including cassava flour and cassava.

Currently, apart from China, Vietnam began cassava available in many markets, including Japan, Korea, Middle East, Malaysia ... In the future, the market of the product towards cassava as the US and EU. Verdict cassava export potential is quite wide open, according to the Association of Vietnam, cassava industry is striving towards the goal of increasing export value reached US $ 2 billion in 2020.
