Cornstarch or corn flour is a fine powder made from the endosperm (the core of the particle) of corn / maize dry. Corn starch is used in cooking for many things, but most commonly used as a binder and thickener in various dishes. Unlike wheat, corn starch becomes really clear shape when cooked. It is also used as an anti-adhesion agent in powdered sugar. To avoid lumps when using cornstarch, mix it with a cold liquid until smooth before cooking or add it to a hot liquid.
