KTNT- JSC Southern Seed (SSC) is one of the enterprises specializing in research, breeding, production and sales of seeds. After nearly 40 years of development, the SSC has affirmed brand foothold, constantly evolving to create the position and strength in times of international economic integration.

SSC formerly Seed Company South, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Born from 1976 to 1978, the Company Southern Seed was incorporated into Branch I (affiliated company Central Seed), then changed to Enterprise Seed I in 1981. Until 1989, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development decided to split and establishment of the Central Seed II, under the Ministry, and in 1993 was renamed the Southern Seed Company. In 2002, implementation of the State policy and the approval of the Prime Minister by Decision No. 213 / QD-TTg dated 25-3-2002, the company is now the first seed industry of Vietnam conducting equitization, the State holds 20% of charter capital (60 billion) and officially named JSC Southern Seed.
With the mission selection, production and supply of good quality seeds, the farmers get rich, be sure to always adhere to the policy from selecting quality and production to supply the seed. All are assayed, carefully selected through the production system in the model of advanced technological level of the world's seed, ensuring supply to farmers of high quality products. SSC currently being held in the model of research, manufacturing and supplying advanced. The centers, stations, farms are located in strategic positions, help in creating and testing the good varieties suitable for various ecological characteristics of Vietnam and the region. The company established seed Laboratories since 1997, and upgraded to 10/2009 Quality Management Division. Continuously from 2000 until now, this room is the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is accredited Laboratories agricultural plant varieties, certification bodies seed sector (Decision No. 82 / QD-TT-QM) . SSC also owns a distribution network of agents in the agricultural sector focus across Vietnam and continues to expand its distribution network to Laos and Cambodia.
