Ethanol

Cassava chips as an alternative source of raw material for the production of wine as well as medical and industrial alcohol.
Animal feed
Roots can be processed into chips and pellets can be used in livestock feed for cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, and fish. Cassava leaves are the food source for livestock.

Foods
Cassava is widely used as food in Nigeria. It is mainly consumed in the form of Gari, Fufu, tapioca, starch, kpokpogari, and lafun. In the northern part of the country, it is eaten raw as a snack. Amendment derivatives or tapioca starch has been applied for thickening, binding, texturing and stabilize a wide range of food products such as canned foods, frozen foods, salad dressings, sauces , and infant foods.

Confectionery
Amendment derivatives or tapioca starch is used in confectionery for different purposes such as thickening and glasses
MSG
Tapioca is a common source to make monosodium glutamate in Asia. It is used to enhance flavor in food, for example, Ajinomoto.
Sweetener

Glucose and fructose from starch used substitute for sucrose in jam and canned fruit. Cassava-based sweeteners are preferred in the beverage formula for features improved handling and enhanced product features.

Tapioca is a very important raw material in making glue. Dextrates starch based adhesives are excellent and are used in many applications including pre gummed papers, tapes, labels, stamps and envelopes.

Starch can be used as a biodegradable polymer to replace plastics in packaging materials.
Plywood
Glue made from cassava is an important material in the manufacture of plywood. The quality of plywood depends very much on the glue used.
Paper
